St John's College
St John's College was founded in 1511 by Lady Margaret Beaufort, mother of Henry VII. A beautiful college that contains more courtyards than any other college in Oxford or Cambridge, St John's also has many famous alumni. One of the most famous is William Wilberforce, who as a Christian devoted much of his life to the zealous pursuit of the abolition of slavery, resulting in slavery being abolished in 1833.
